2 / 5 / 23SET University launches SET Bootcamp in partnership with Startup Wise Guys and tech2impact
The war in Ukraine, unleashed by Russia, has had a devastating effect on all spheres of the economy. Total losses have already exceeded 750 billion dollars. And now, more than ever, the country needs innovative solutions. To quickly respond to these challenges, SET University, in collaboration with Startup Wise Guys and tech2impact, is launching the summer SET Bootcamp. The project aims to develop an innovative economy and entrepreneurship in Ukraine and strengthen Ukraine’s position in the global technological arena.
SET Bootcamp program provides practical skills and covers the main areas of startup development: user research, prototyping, finance, marketing strategy and sales, fundraising and preparing a presentation for investors. Also, the course will be relevant for engineers and students who want to better understand the business side of entrepreneurship.
Startup evaluation criterions
The key criterion for the selection of startups for the SET Bootcamp is the impact and significance of the product for the recovery of Ukraine in the following areas:
- security;
- humanitarian and social support;
- innovative technologies in the medical field;
- economic development and solutions to support small and medium-sized businesses;
- education;
- infrastructure restoration.
Applications can be submitted by businesses working with any technologies that do not have technical limitations to scaling and that are located in or focused on Ukraine. Projects can be at any stage — from MVP to scaling on the market or attracting investment.
SET Bootcamp will take place online from August 8 to 26. The deadline for submitting applications is July 31. Participants will be selected by SET Bootcamp mentors and organizers in the format of an open competition. To participate, you need to submit an application on the website.
There are no investment rounds within the three-week SET Bootcamp program. However, the organizers will invite investors and venture capital funds to evaluate the business and provide advice on attracting investments.
